“I wast'born in. the same year with Thurlow Weed, and have been in the drug business more than sixty years, and I never knew a woman who could put up a prescription,” said David Quackenbush, the veteran druggist of Greenwich street, New York city. “I see-no reason why women should not learn the drug business. Borne of the medicines are rather repulsive, but there is no real obstacle in the way of the education of female druggists.”
