REMINGTON ITEMS.

Dear Republican.— Preparations for Christmas, a n In order over this way at present, and we have time to write but a short letter this week. Before we forget it, we will wish you and;your readers, one and all, “A merry Christmas. The lecture of Dr. Hedley on last Thursday evening on “The Sunny Side of Lift” was one well calculated to make his hearers think that the Dr. himself had found tne bright side so happily portrayed and was anxious to have all men “go and do likewise.” The next lecture will be given by Eugene J. Hall on Thuisday evening Jan. 12. Subject—Away down East. Those who are familiar with the writings of Mr. Hall need not be told *tliat*it will be a beautiful lecture. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Briggs arrived last Thursday night from Indianapolis and are at present the guests of Miss Clara Wells. Mrs. Briggs will be a valuable addition to society in general and to the M. E. Church in particular as she has been an active working member oi that denomination in Indianapolis. We ell congratulate the young couple and hope their lives may be very bright and happy. Mr. Yeakel sen. was taken suddenly and seriously sick at Wolcott last Saturday but was able to be brought to Remington the evening train. He is recovering. Another Dakotian home for the holidays.
