It will be held on Christmas night Some of the school children came near causing a run-a-way the other day, by snow-balling a passing team. Snow-balling teams is bad business and ought to be broke up. Have your smoked glass ready and keep a bright look out for the transit of Venus next Wednesday Dec., 6th. It will be 122 years before another transit occurs and you see about what your chances are for seeing the next one. School teachers should see that their pubils have an understanding of the nature of this phenomenon, and take an interest in its observation. Mrs. A.
