Heavy frosts. Turnips doing well since the rain. Potatoes good yield, but beginning to rot. Corn cannot be cribbed for two or three weeks. Blue grass pastures are good. The work of ditching the river is progressing as rapidly as the water will permit. % Politics begin to play an active part in our midst. Hon W. Gilman aDd H. Travis have honored us with their presence and advice. J. E. Alter has put a stock of goons in the Davison house, and Davison has moved to Pleasant Ridge. A match game between the Nubbin Ribge nine, and the Oak Town nine, on the 14th, resulted in a score of 17 to 109 in favor of the Nubbin Ridger’s.
