OBITUARY.

Rushville Graphic:— Mrs. Naney Gowdy was born in Fleming nxiunty, Ky., June Ist, 1807, ana moved to Rush county with het parents, Oct. 10th, 1827. She was j married to A. M. C. Gowdy Sept . 28th, 1820, with whom she lived in happy union till death took her husband February 21st 1857. 01 children there were given them seven —three boys and four girls ol• whom there only remain Mrs. Greer, of Arlington, and Lewis and John K. Mother Gowdy united with the M. E. Church at an early age under the ministary of Rev. Benjamin Northcutt in Kentucky, and remained a consistent member till death, which occured Sept. 3d, at the residence of Dr. J. W. Green, who had given her a hospitable home near twenty years —ten or of the last continuously * Another of our members of long standing has gone up to the heavenly home. While the vacancy id deeply felt here, no doubt its ingnite gain to our translated sister. The symmetrical life, and quiet speech of Mother Gowdy will linger long in the home circle of the affectionate daughter. Her funeral .vas largely attended on Monday afternoon at the M, E. Church in Arlington, where services were conducted by Rev. T. B. Gary asisted by Revs. Steward, Dillon and Cain.
