The Republican has made no secret of what it thought of the Hon. Mark L. DeMotte. Before the convention it favored his nomination, bince the convention it favors his election. He made a good congressman the first term, and, having the benefit of experience, will make a still better second. Personally he is a kindly, genial md unassuming gentleman, and where he is best known is where he is the best liked.
