With joy fid hearts we announce that the soldiers’ re-union will be held at Rensselaer this year. Out citizens have done nobly, and the necessary cash has been subscribed. Great credit for perseverance under discouraging circumstances is due to Capt Burnham to whose efforts more than to that of any others is. due the credit of bringing the re-union here. Below we give the official announcement. SOLDIERS' R E- UEIOE. The 3d annual Re-union of the Soldiers of the District of Jasper, Newton, Benton, White, and Counties will .be held at Rensselaer, on the fair-grounds, or such more convenient or suitable place as the committee on encampment shall designate,, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, September 27th, 28th, and 29th, 1882. This time will be after the several counties have held their fairs and just before the State fairs. Further particulars will be made known in due time. A cordial invitation is extended to she Soldiers of Lake cotinty to participate with us; and to all citizens to assist in making the coming re-union a success worthy of old Jasper
