This interesting number commemorates tne sixtieth birihday of the proprietor and senior editor, Mr. W. Jennings Demorest, and some of the articles have especial reference to this event. Among the writers are many names of literary distinction. Col. Tlios. W. Higginson contributes “Brook Farm Period in Now England;" Miss. Kate Field, “English Women Bondage;” Miss Alcott, “R. W.
