New Postal Route.
Editors h’eptihl <o,nn: lii the matter of the establish mo lit of postoffices on tlm new route from Kensselaer to Kouts, l desire to say through your able paper that some confusion has arisen, and that information is desired in order that intelligent action may be taken. At the suggestion or the First Assistant Postmaster/ General, I have written HoracefE. James, Postmaster at Rensselaer, to prepare a map of the northern portion of Jasper county, showing the proposed mail route and the!various offices asked for. The First Assistant must pass upon the various applications, and that injustice pay not be done, full information should be furnished as to best road, bridges, shortest distance, <fcc. Those interested will please furnish,lso soon as practicable, to*Mr. James, the exact location of the postoffices asked for and such other factsSas they may deem material. \ If tne matter of the location of postoffices be adjusted, 1 have good reason to believe that I can, after July Ist, have special service put on the route.
