S. Dwiggins went to New York the first of the week, on business connected with the "Continental railway. Hon. I. D. Dunn went to Louisville, Ky., yesterday, on business. He will return home the latter part of next week. Jacob Eiglesbach has moved his meat store into Duvall’s room, on front street, while his old shop is being repaired. Judge Hammond and Simon P. Thompson went to Fowler Monday, where the Judge convened the Circuit Court. A. Woodworth has been awjyded the contract for carrying the mail from the depot to the postoffice, in Rensselaer. The treasurer is still unable to pay off orders, for want of funds.
