Township Conventions.

The Republicans of Hanging Grove Township met in convention, at the Banta school house, March 25th, 1882. The following candidates were nominated: For Town hip Trustee, H. E. Parkinson; Road buperintendeht, J. C. Gwin; Justice of the Peace, Fleming Phillips; Assessor, Daniel D. Redmond; Constables, J. P. Overton and W. W. Bussell; County Central Committe, D. 1). Redmond, Elias Hammerton and J. W. Jacks; Township Committee, F. Zard, H. Phillips, F. J. Parker, J. W. Mellander, Millard English, and J. E. Randle.
