Republican Convention.

Rensselaer, Ind., March 3, ’B2. Tlie Republican citizens of Marion t wnship met at the Court House pursuant to the call of the committee Saturday March 25th, 1882, and organized by electing H. C. Bruce, chairman, and C. W. <oen, secretary. The nominations for the several offices were as follows: Trustee, Isaac J. Porter; Road Superintendent, Philip McElfresh; Assessor, Thomas Warren; Justices of Peace, W. W. Reed, John R. Vanatta; Constables, Samuel Rogers, William Sayler, Erastus Peacock. Marion Townships quota of the County Central Committee was selected as follows: For the town of Rensselaer, F. J. Sears and George M. Robinson, and for the township S. C. Hammond, J. T. Watson and J. T. Warren. Let every Republican in the township come to the election next Monday and assist in electing t:ie ticket put in nomination. ' H. C. Bruce, Chairman. C. W. Coen, Secretary.
