To The Voters of Jasper County.
The undersigned bare been ep{x>inted from the respective poiilicel parties as members of "The Grand Temperance Council of the State of Indiana.” Under the laws and regulations of the council, the duty devoirs on us to proved U> organize each voting precinct, by die appointment of one voter from each political party in each township of this •xmnty. We are at the present time engag ■nl in carefully selecting such men ns we relieve will faithfully look after the tetntieranoe interest so far as it becomes a part es the question involved in the coming political campaign in this state. Wo hope each person called upon to act With us will promptly respond to the call, and join us in a work which cannot fail Thy proper action] to result io a political sod social blessing to the people of Indiana. To those who are unacquainted [or skeptical] as to the objects of this organitaiion, we beg to say. We are aiming to finite the voters of tbe entire state to use all honorable efforts to send such men to the next legislature as will pledge themselves to ratify tho submission of the "Prohibition” Amendment to the Constitution io the people for tbeir vote as to its hecom:ng a law or otherwise. It is the aim wit hout respect to parties to see that this umendment is submitted to the voters of Indiana, and there is no partisan questions involved and has no oonueetioo with the t-'omale Suffrage clause iu the amendment, to support us in ibis what we believe to be a good work, the hearty aid of all citizens who favor a free espression of thought by the people .on this question, is asked.
