Remington Items.
Dear Republican We boasted too soon of the good roads and splendid trade. The dullness of last Saturday more' than counterbalanced the activity of the preceding Saturday, but our town still exists notwithstanding the mud. ; The marriage of Mr. Gum and Miss Hart took place according to the agreement made and entered into between the high contracting parties. It was a very quiet wedding, and the young couple at once proceeded to their own home and bsgan housekeeping. May their home always be a happy one. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Hardy (not Hart) returned from Crescent City, 111., last Thursday. Avery pleasant reception was held at the residence of Mr. Hardy, sen. A splendid supper was served, many useful and beautiful presents were given, and the young couple start out with the best wishes of all. The Blue Ribbon Club met again Thursday evening, and after the transaction of some unimportant business, proceeded to the election of officers with the following result: Robert Parker, President; A. G. Hardy, Vice-President: Alice Tuttle, Secretary, and Mr. Allman, Treasurer. A better selection for President than Mr. Parker conld not have been made, nor one that could have given more general satisfaction. The other officers too are well chosen and will doubtless fill their several offices well and ably. On motion of Mr. Coover, it was decided to invite Major Frank Baird to address us two weeks from last Thursday night. As he is an able and eloquent speaker, we expect much good from his lecture and hope that many will turn out and hear him. D. W. Green, a prominent lawyer of Ligonier is looking after business interests and visiting friends in this place. Miss Alice Allman returned from Minneapolis, Minn., last week. Mrs. Barney Patton is dangerously sick. As she has been an invalid for several years, her recovery seems doubtful. Will Price and Miss Arilla Cotton made a short visit to friends in Remington last Sunday. T.-T.-N. Nervous Sufferers.—Nervousis often attended by many annoying and unpleasant symptoms, such as. black spots flitting before your eyes, ringing or buzzing in the ears, flashes of visionary light in darkness, inability to look up or about suddenly, without growing faint or dizzy ; wakefulness, vivid dreaming, etc., all of which is permanently cured by using Brown's Iron Bitters.
