A Pkxsxmtatioh, —Last spring when the bright sunshine warmed mother earth back to life, and nature was again clothed in emerald beafay, ana the song birds uttered their voices of praise; the good people in fee vicinity of Sayler’s School House, feeling it'thefardaty to do something to make the world better and happier, organised a Sunday school, wife Chas. Beniamin as superintendent, ’'and for six months they maintained one of the most flourishing and interesting schools to be found in Jasper county. Four weeks ago last Sunday fee school closed until, fee winter months are past Mr. Benjamin then addressed the school, gave them wordr .of advice ana encouragement,’ featuring them for the. noble and cheerful manner in which’feey bad aided him in making fee school a success and a blessing. After making every officer, teacher, and scholar, a present, he bade the school ;a. touching farewell until spring time; or <ttntll they meet in fee land where winter and parting are unknown. ~ y Last Sunday after a lapse of four weeks the people of that vicinity came together again to attend religious services conducted by the writer, after dismissing the congregation, I was requested to ask them to be seated again for a few minutes; when they were all seated and all, except a few, were wondering what was going to take place, we were soon enlightened for one of fee young ladies in the audience, one who had stood by the school, handed me a copy of Young’s Bible Concordance, wife the request feat I, in behalf of the school, present it, with their thanks to Bro. Benjamin, for his earnest christain efforts which had fad* fee school a success and a blessing, Bro. Benjamin responded fa some very happy and touching fa* marks. May God bless the peopleand the effort they hXve made at Sayler School House, and may they all live to see many returning Springs, and ever be willing and ready to labor in the masker’s vineyard, and finally be reworded with a crown of life.
