Bids will be received for excavation and stone work, brick work, carpenter work, and iron work (including cells) separately ; also for the buddings eeinpietod ; the work to be paid for on estimate* made, by superintendent at the end of each month, and seven tv fire per cent, of such estimate then paid, and when the whole work is completed hi strict compliance witu the said plans and specifications to the satisfaction of the Board of Commissioners and Superintendent, and all dabts incurred by contractor or contractor* paid or satisfied, including labor and material turn tailed, and for boarding laborers ; the residue of contract price shall be paid to tbe contractor or contractors. Tbe contract or contracts will be let to the lowest responsible bidder; but no bid will be eulertabied unless the same is accompanied by a bond in a penalty of at least ene-tourth of the cost of tbe work to be done, signed hy the bidder and at least two resident freehold sureties, guaranteeing tire faithful performance of the work so bid tor. la case the contract be awarded, to snch bidder and if the contract be so swarded such bidder shall pay all the debts incurred by him to the prosecution of such work, including labor, ma tcrials, and tor boarding laborers thereon Bids to be opened on the second day of the December term of Commissioners’ Court, viz.: December 6th, 18*1, at Two O’clock p. m.
