Promptness and a gen-] eraWurn out are very desirable. Per order Burnham, *| Capt. Jasper Co.l The Fair.— Owing to lack of! time we are unable to the fair [as extended notice us its' merits [deserve. The display of stock was [not extensive, but /Some very fine (cattle, horses anerhogs were exhiblited. In the floral hall there were some fine specimens of needlework, etc.; fine canned fruits, and green fruits and grain. Owing to the rain Thursday, there was not near so iarge an attendance as otherwise would have been. All in all,. the fair was as successful, perhaps, as could have been expected under the circumstances. We will publish the list of premiums awarded hereafter’.
