A Lazy Woman.
Cincinnati Gazette. A very peculiar case came up in Justice Schwab’s court yesterday afternoon. The case was one tn which J. 8.. Stokes had sworn out a a warrant for the arrest of Mrs. Fenlason, the wife of his partner iu business, which they carry on at 088 West Sixth street. The woman, it was said, had threatened to shoot Stokes, whom she accused of tampering with her husband in such a manner that that individual refused to give her any money. In court the facts were brought out on the testimony of the woman herself to • the effect that she had done no work for eighteen ye: s past, and in all that time sat in a ch:.;r having a woman to wait on her; ar-J more than that, she did notintend to work, for the simple reason that she g<>; married for the express purpose of acquiring a position in which she would ira ve nothing to do. The case was decided against Mrs. Fenlason, and when the Justice told her that she must give bond to keep the peace she refused point blank to consent. Accordingly she was sent to the county jail. It is a blessing the Japanese carnets are agoing out of fashion.' The Japanese themselves would not use them in a barn.
