The class at that place is flourishing in spite of the “hell fire and brimstone” spoken of by the Walker correspondent some time ago. Billy Vant Wou’d gives Keener a call once in a while. Billy looks well far a man residing in the poor house. ►* M. M. Tyler and J. F. Antrim are fanning together th is summer. The boys have been “teaching for some time, but have not forgotten that muscular exercise strengthens the constitution. W. H. Tyler is about buying a drug store in “Passinang.” The Keener post-office is doing a flourishing business now and our worthy postmaster, George DeBoer, understands his business thoroughly. Miss Belle Davis' school closed a short time ago, and she has returned to her home in Xenia. Miss Davis taught a good school and made many friends while in Keener. * Miss Chattie Sayers closed a term of school at Pleasant Grove a few weeks ago and is now teaching in Union township. Peanuts.
