Pleasant Ridge Hems.

■Weather tine. » • Stock seems to be doing well. Health rather good; but few cases of sickness in this community. • The Pleasant Ridge school is prospering fine. What school wouldn’t prosper with F. L. Hunt as principal^ After an absence of several' years, J. M. Gwin has resumed his old employment; that of shoemaking. While at Literary, last Friday night, a couple of small boys concluded ‘ to try their strength upon one another. Each received a few bruises, but we hope there is no serious injury done either. J. V. Parkison and clerk are always found smiling and ready to wait upon customers.
