Drowned.

A valise was discovered yesterday morn* ing by some < f our citizens floating down the Irqouuis. Il was flshed in to shore and found tol>ear the name of Benjamin Reynolds. As the owner has mot claimed his property, it is supposed that in despair at the prospect of defeat in his application for whiskey license, he has wandered out alone, and, n a fit of desperation, cast himself into the river. Notwithstanding the probability of the applicant being beneath the walers of the Iroquois, F. W. Babcock will oppose his case in the Newton court this week.
