CONGRESSIONAL SUMMARY.

TBUMDaT. SENATEThe concurrent resolution introduced by Mr. Morgan, June 15,1880, declaring the president of the senate hot invested by the constitution with the right to count the vote of electors for president and vice president of the United States, so as to determine what votes shall be received and counted and what votes shall be rejected, was 'aken up, and a motion made by Mr. Edmunds to lay on the tabic, which was rejected. Considerable discussion followed regarding the passage of the resolution, and a vote-being taken it was discovered there was not a guoruni present, so upon motion of Mr. Morgan the senate adjourned. HOUSE.—The Indian appropriation bill was reported with the senate amendments, the committee recommending concurrence in some and nou-concurrencc in others. Among the amendments not concurred In is that of striking out (he clause abolishing the Indian commissioner. The report was then agreed to. The apportionment bill was then taken up, and after a long discussion went over. Mr. King introduced a bill appropriating $20,000 for the purchase and distribution of seed corn.

- rtIBAT. SENATE—The committee on finance reported the refunding 'bill with amendments. It will be broqght up early next week. The bill to appropriate $75,000 to send a vessel in search of the lost Jeannette, was brought up and passed. The Indian land in severalty bill was brought up, the questag being on M*.
