J., the Susquehanna at Milton, Pa., th* .Allegheny near Mahoning, and then pass through Akron, Tiffin end Fort Wsyn* to Chicago. Tbs friends of th* road say that no grud* on the road is mors than forty feet to the mile; also that tbs road will be built under charter* granted to the Continental Railway Company by special acts of the Legislatures of tho state* of New Jeraey, Pennsylvania, Illinois and lowa, an<l through Ohio and India**, under the general railway incorporation laws ot those states. They say that the road will have a double track of heavy steel tails, and will b« ballasted with broken stone and gtavel throughout its entire length. The distance from -New York to Chicago by tbs Pennsylvania Central tnd connections is 914 miles ; by the New York Central and Lake SL<>rs, 980 miles ; by tbe New York Central, the Great Western of Canada, and Michigan Central, 961 miles; by the Erie Railway and connections, 961 mils*; and by the Continental Railway would be but 786 mile#, and by a geographical straight Im* 727 miles.—Atic Fork Evening Put.
