Respect I
From Jordan Township.
Although Jordan is in a more southerly latitude than most of the townships, it bears the reputation of being an excessively cold tropical region. Mr. Jenkins, teacher of school No. 6, has been obliged by poor health to leave the profession. The next heir to the throne occupied .by him will be J. A. Burnham, who will reign from January 9th to March lb'.h, 1881. Look out for the end of the world, for the gospel is not preached unto us, i. e. in immediate vicinity. The schools in this township will be of five uurution instead of six. Lances are frequent, the only pull-back to them is the scarcity of girls. Ou Jeunary Bih tbe teachere of Jordan and Carpenter town-hips met in joint institute at school house No. 2, in the Utter township. Quite a number of the patrons and young folks came in to enjoy the programme, which was sat sfactorily carried out, and partake of a bounteous repast fnrnudied by themselves. Tbe teachers of Marion and Jordan town■h pe will meet ia joint institute at the, O’Meara school house on February 19th. The patrons are most cordially invited to attend.
