It should not be exclusive but a popular musical society. Let every body sing. —The people in the north part es Marion township need no longer drive to the capital for groceries C. P. —Two young men were i tinning a race north of town last Sunday morning. The wagon of one uncoupled and the bed turned over and spilled him and his girls, tunately not hurting any one very seriously. The horses ran to town and were stopped without injury. The other fellow has not been heard of-no names. —The books of F. \\. Bedford have beeu turned over to me for settlement. All persons knowing themselves to be indebted to Mr. Bedford will please come forward and settle. Mr. Bedford has been very lenient with the rich and poor alike, now show your gratitude by helping in bis need. Do so and save cost. C. P. Welght. —Parties from Pine Village, in Warren county, assisted \j Sheriff Powell and ex sheriff Robinson, last week recovered a horse that had been stolen from Pine Village recently. The Warren county offi citils had already captured the thief who under an assumed name traded the property to a Mr. Rogers of this county. A prominent? citizen of Rensselaer took sufficient, interest in the transaction to send a messenger ahead of the officers, ostensibly to give information of their approaeh. Future development may cause said party some trouble.
