—The attendance at Purdt e University the present term is more than two hundred. The 'Lafayette Journal says that four years ngo when Prof. White first took liisof tice there were only thirty five students. This is an institution of which overy Indianian shouid feel proud. Prof. White is to be con. gralulated upon the success that has attended his able efforts in the presidency of the -institution, and the people of the state that they were so fortunate in . securing the services of a teacher ot such a high standard of scholarship as Prof. White.
