Miscellaneous Recipes.
Coooanut Pik. —One grated cocoannt, sue quart of milk five eggs beaten separately, ondtablespoon of fine bread crumbs; mgar and flavoring to taste. The above makes two pies. No top crust. Glyckbink Soap.—Take toilet soap, slice and melt with gentle heat, and add to (me pound of soap one ounce of pure glycerine ; —hen sufficiently cool make into balls. To Pkkvevt Milk Soubino.—An effectual remedy for milk turning in summer time consists in adding to each quart fifteen grains of bi-carbonate of soda. This does not affect the taste of the milk, while it facilitates the digestion. To Remove Grease, etc— An excellent recipe for removing paint or grease spots from garments may be had by mixing 4 tablespoonfuls ofalcohol with a tablespoonful of salt. Shake the whole well together and apply with a sponge or brush. Fob Cramps.—A cold application to the bare feet, such as iron, wafer, rock, earth or ice, when it can be had, fa an excellent remedy for cramp. If the patient is seized in the upper part of the l»dy, apply the remedy to the hands. Corn Soup. —Take six ears of corn, cht and scrape from the cob so as to get all the milk, add water enough to prevent it from burning, boil twenty minutes, then add one pint of milk, butter the size of an egg, a little salt and pepper to suit the taste, let it come to a boil and serve while hot. Angel Cake. —One and one-half cups of granulated white sugar, one cup of flour, one teaspoon ful of cream of tartar, the whites of eleven eggs, one half teaspoonful of salt, mix flour and cream of tartar thoroughly together and sift, beat the eggs to a stiff froth, beat in the eggs and teaspoonful of vanilla, add the flour, which should be beat in lightly but thoroughly, and bake slowly for forty minutes.
