—At Remington last Saturday evening some ryalicioua persons stoned the republican procession, and pretty soriously injured Mr. Murphy of Goodland, oue of Jbe Garfield club of that place. The perpetrators of this act of vandalism ar net certainly known, but suspicion points to the son of a leading democrat as the instigator of the act. One thing is certain itoould not have been done by republicans. No it must have been dono by democrats. With loud blast of trumpliet our democratic friends laid claim, before election, to Lyman Zea as a supporter of their-cause. They flattered them’ selves that he was a man who could be influenced against his'own better judgement But they found to their cost that Mr. Zea was true as steel to the party which stood by the country in her distress and by the result of that terrible struggle. He pridea himself in the flag of his country and believe* that its safety as a national emblem depends upon the success q f the republican party. Such seal and determination as that of Mr. Zea is worthy of high commendation.

The Domestic Display.
Among the most worthy exhibits of the State Fair is that of the Domestic Sewing-machine Company, whose headquarters in the city' are at No 9 Massachusetts avenue? E. E. Brown is the general manager and the display in the exposition is under the immediate supervision of Mr. Richard W. Lunday, the general traveling agent for the Chicago branch office- That the Domestic has points of superiority is evidenced in the faot of the strange feature of a blind lady executing the mast intricate work open the •machine in the presence of the visitors. The lady is Miss B. Porat, of New! York. The reporter put the question to Mias Porat: "Could yon use another machine as easily as you do the Domes tic?” Her reply was: “Ho, sir. Other sewing machines are cot so simple. Most of our institutions for ihe education of the blind have adopted the Domestic because of its simplicity.
