Soldiers Reunion.
Purse ant and to call delegates met at Rensselaer, and on motion it was decided to bold a reunion of tbe fonreonhtiea, Benton, Newton, Jatpei and White; to be held Sept 29th and 30th. On motion, Judge Hammond, of Rensselaer was elected paesident, Dr. Wm. Spencer, of Montioello, treasurer, Dr. Hatch, of
Kcntlnod, secretary. On motion all ex-soldier editors residing in the soar counties were elected assistant secretaries. On motion a committee of arrangements consisting of two persons from each county was appointed. From Benton, Thomas Wilcox, A. V. Flint; Jasper, Dr. 11. B. Patton, F. W. Babcock; Newton, J. Skinner, J. W. UUery; White, Roy B. Davidson, H. Van Voorst; A committee to proonre speakers consisting of one person from each county , composed of P. H. Lally* Dr. Hatch, Capt. Snyder and J. HBiddle was appointed. "On motion it was ordered that the oommittee on arrangements meet at Renting' ton Saturday Sept. 4th, at 11 A. M. in Dr. Patton’s office. RKSOLCTIONS. Resolved: That the committee of arrangements be and are hereby authorized to appoint such nnxilliary committees as they msy deem necessary, and that they are fully authorized to take such steps es they deem ncccssay to secure arms, equipments and music, and to fill any vacancies, and do all other things neoessary to make a good and successful reunion.
