Everything booming in this end of Barkley township. Farmers busy and good natnred. Cora doing sqlundid and bids fair for an average crop. Wheat generally good. Oats fair, and almostready for the reaper. Republicans quiet but wide awake and well satisfied, and will all pull together this fall. Democrats yelping for Hancock and not a Greenbacker to be heard from. John G. Culp is suffering with a very sore eye Headley Browns daughter Minerva, departed for ber home in California Wednesday. Grandmother Randall of Danville, 111., is visiting friends and relatives in Barkley. Jim Randall and Ad Parkison each sold a car load of fat cattle last week. Jim bad been feeding his catUe corn since grass and says they made a gain per head of four pounds a day; be says it pays big to feed corn in the summer. Job.
