Ada Strong, George Minibus, Orlando Yeoman, George Moss, The Indianapolis Journal says that it may not be out of place to say that a permit has been granted by the oivil authorities, and an indulgence by the church, for Democrats to swear for twenty days, or up to the 27th, which is Thanksgiving day, when' they will be expected to unite in thanksgiving and prayer.

Governor Williams, is pardoning convicts from tbe penitentiary on condition that they do not nse intoxicating liquors. A violation of this condition wi2 subject them to •rrest and reconfinement to serve out the time of their original sentence. Thu Governor’* temperance society now numbers four.
