Carpenter township bald bar first Institute tor the winter of *7fi-80 at ; tbo school bouse, in Remington, last Saturday, the 26th ult. Ten of her eleven districts schools were represented, and three of the four .teachers ia Remington schools ware in attendance. / The Inslitnto was organized with Mr. D. Mi Nelson, President; Miaa Carrie Irwin, Vice-President, and Mr. Thomas Babb, Secretary. The session, though rather informal, was interesting, and the discussions spirited. Mias Bollcs, Superintendent of the Remington schools, deserves espeeisl mention for her disinterested efforts to aid the teachers of Carpenter towni-hip in successfully conducting their, ipr. etituto.
