The New Game Law.

Railroad companies are forbidden to carry wild grouse, wild duck or other water fowl in addition to the kinds of game which the stntntes now say shall not be transported. Squirrels cannot be killed from Jan. 1 to Ang. 1 in any one year. Wild dock or other water fowl may be hnnted from Oct. 1 to Nov. 10 in any year, provided the hunter is over fourteen Vears of age, A resident of the state and has secured a license from the proper authorities by paying the fee of sl. A non-resident may have the same privileges if he already has a hunter’s license and pay in addition a fee of $25 for the special license. To hooting licenses of every kind the photograph of the possessor must be attached, in addition to a detailed description of the person possessing it. No more hunting with borrowed license, goes. Hereafter it will be against the law to hnnt rabbits with ferrets. The new law ezpressly prohibits the chasing of bunny with the sleek, bloodthirsty little beasts, and a fine of from $lO to $25 is provided for each violation of the law.

Mrs. Margaret Burroughs, widow of Thomas Burroughs, at one time a resident of Rensselaer, died at her home in Hammond Tuesday. The remains will be buried in Rensselaer today.
