Mrs. John Eger was called to Toledo, Ohio, last week by the death of a niece. Joe Hammond and son Herbert, of Wheatfleld, spent Sunday in Rensselaer. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. David Waymire, south of town, Friday. James Drake, of Chicago, was the guest of his mother, Mrs. Mary Drake, Sunday. Miss Katherine Jones, of Lafayette, was the guest of Rensselaer friends Sunday. Miss Louise Harmon, who has been visiting at Pontiac, 111., returned home Saturday. Jerry Healy arrived home from New Orleans last Thursday night. He was very much pleased with his trip.

Judge Palmer, of White oounty, handed down his decision last week in the Goodland vs. Kentland county seat matter which was in favor of the former, be holding the law constitutional and the county commissioners having full power to issue bonds for the building of a new court houqe at Goodland.
