HANGING GROVE.
Miss Bessie Eger’s school closed Friday. Joseph Stewart and wife were in Rensselaer Saturday. Misses Alice Shedd and Pearl Burson and Ray Yeoman were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gwin Wednesday evening. Robert Drake and family were called to Monon. March nth, on account of the death of Mrs. Drake’s uncle, Mr. Lowe. 'Misses Alice and Jennie Eib were in Rens selaer Saturday. Mrs. Ed Randle spent a few days in Rensselaer lately, visiting among relatives and friends. Mr. Madison, of Lee, visited at Albert Warner’s Sunday. Mr. Eib shredded fodder at Mr. Cook’s Saturday. Miss Pearl Burson was a guest at the home of P. W. Nelson at Fair Oaks from Thursday till Monday. Squire Bussel has turned his machinery into a stump outfit and is lifting the big hedge a short distance east of Pleasant Ridge on the Thompson ranch. There is nothing like being able to meet emergency, and Charlie is one who always manages to “get there.’’
