Will Weigh the Malls.

The railway postal clerks running through this city have received instructions relative to the weighing of mail on all Indiana roads during the month of March. This work will require a number of extra men who will betaken from the eligible list of the civil service commission and will also give work to a large number of substitutes. The compensation of the railroads for carrying the mails is based upon the tonnage carried during the month of weighing and March is selected for the reason that it is an average month in point of volume of mail handled. It has been four years since the mails were weighed In this state.
