Friends of Judge T. F. Palmer, of Monticello, having learned that the place of solicitor for the Internal Revenue Department will go to New York, are endeavoring to ascertain if it will be worth while for Judge Palmer to apply for the office of assistant Attor-ney-General for the new Department Of Commerce and Labor. The place will pay #4,000 annually.
