BLACKFORD.
â– Last Saturday afternoon and night the deepest snow of this season fell. Willie Whitacre has been going to school at Valparaiso and spent last week here with his parents. Rev. A. Abbott, of near Indianapolis, was here last week visiting his daughters, Mrs. Mary Switzer and Mis. Maggie Daniels. From here he went to Chicago Heights to visit his daughters, Mrs. Hattie Ott, Mrs. Mell McColly and other relatives. G. B. Switzer and family spent Sunday here with his parents. Rev. Byrd, pastor of the U. B. church here, is holding a protracted meeting in the church at Aix. Rev. Abram Miller, who was very sick with grippe and lung trouble, is able to be up and walk around the house some. The people of this vicinity were surprised and shocked when they heard of the death of their esteemed friend, Mrs. Louisa Norman and extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband and children.
