Dennis Brooks, of Gifford, has moved to town. He occupies the house vacated by Frank DeMoss. Freeman Gifford and family, of Laura, spent Xmas with Harry Gifford and family. A. B. Dunfee has the contract for building the packet for the new dredge No. 3. It is rumored that Wm. Collins will start a butcher shop and pool room at Gifford in Kimble’s old stand. Our blacksmith has been kept busy shoeing horses since the cold weather has come. George Bush, who lived east of here, has moved to town. T. M. Callahan called on Squire Bussell, of Della, Saturday, on business. Taylor Hawkins and wife, of Kersey, visited Louis Shell and family over Sunday. The shooting match given by John Burris on Tuesday was not very well attended. John Richmond makes regular trips once or twice a week out east. What is the attraction, John? Mrs. Anderson and son Ralph, of Missouri, are visiting A. B. Dunfee and family this week. Chas. Beck, of Lebanon, is visiting his brother east of town for a few days.
