FAIR OAKS.
N. Littlefield has been very sick for a few days but is some better at this writing. Mrs.A.D.Washburn did shopping in Rensselaer Monday. Florence and Frank Fry, of Rose Lspvn, spent Saturday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Fry. Mrs. Jennie Barker and children, ofYeddo, are spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Winslow. Ross and Kate Schofield, of Michigan City, are visiting friends and relatives here. Squire Lamoine is very sick with lagrippe. Mrs. Amy Ritchey and children are spending the holidays with her mother and other relatives at Brookston. The ladies of the Chiistian church and society will give an oyster and general supper at the Fair Oaks school house December 31, New Years eve. A good program is beingprepared. Everybody come and enjoy a good time. Mr. aud Mrs, Jake Rowan are visiting Grandma Manderville this week. Don’t forget the Xmas tree and entertainment at the M. E. church Xmas evening. The Kilgore, Mallett and Dodge sale Saturday was not as well attended as it should have been on account of the very bad weather. Jack Kight is the happy owner of George Best, a $2,000 horse from the Crouch stock farm of Lafayette. He is a beauty.
