SHOT GUN ACCIDENT.
John Stuber Has His Ankle Shot Away in a Hunting Accident. John Stnber, the 19 year old son of Mrs. Kate Young, of Newton township, was the viotlm of a bad hnnting aooldent Monday afternoon. With two companions he was out rabbit hunting on the old Milton Makeever farm, west of town. Nick Young, one of his oompanions, was carrying his gnn under his arm with the muzzle pointing baokwardß. He saw a rabbit and In his hurry to get the gnn in the right position it was discharged. Stnber was standing near him and the load of shot struck him in the ankle, mangling it in a horrible manner. The small hones of the ankle were shot away and the large bones badly broken. The oharge of shot In a compact form oame out at the Instep, leaving two large holes. Stnber was given proper medioal attention but will be a cripple for lifß, if he does not lose his foot. His mother has temporarily moved to town, so that he oan be near medioal attendance.
