The City Council.

The city eounoil met Monday evening; bnc little business of importance was transacted. Q. A. Strickfaden was granted a city saloon license. The city treasurer’s report for the month of November showed the following balances on hand: corporation ftind,. $195.07; road fnnd, overdrawn, sl4 01; water ftind, $1200.88; eleotrio light fnnd, $44.20. The chief of the fire department presented a report showing the fireman present at the Lagen fire. They will be allowed $2.50 each for their services. The chief was direoted to repack and oil the hydrants and to secure one dozen smoke protectors for the use of the members. The following claims were allowed: ROAD FUND. C. L.
