The Circuit Court.
The circuit court adjourned Saturday, after a busy session. In the case of Wm. E. Moore vs. Rebecca Porter, in which Mr. Moore sued to recover S6OO he had paid on the purchase of Mrs. Porter’s Van Rensselaer street property in Rensselaer, alleging that the real estate was not as extensive as claimed by Mrs. Porter, was decided in favor of the latter. By this decision Mrs. Porter can retain both the S6OO and the property. A motion was made by Mr. Moore for a new trial, which will be acted upon at the next term of court. Mary M. Runyan, of Gillam township, was granted a divorce from Newton Runyan on the grounds of abandonment. Mrs. Mildred O. Powell was granted a divorce from John O. Powell and alimony of $1,200 In forty monthly payments of S3O each. A motion for a new trial was made in the Yeoman vs. Eisle case. The motion was overruled and the verdict redaced to $6.20. Willie Stone was sentenced to the reform school on application of his guardian, W. J. Imes. Willie, who is eleven years old, had refhsed to attend school, smokes cigarettes, swears and is in various ways in need of correction. Once before he was before the oonrt and was discharged on probation.
