The new tennis oonrt at the Bohool park is completed. It will be open to players next week. Thursday and Friday of this week will be visiting days for the teachers of both the grades and the high school. Mr. Sanders will attend a superintendent’s meeting at Plymouth. Misses Harris, Keith; Messrs. Hiatt, Frazee and Headlee and Mrs. Kaub will visit the Lafayette schools; Miss Roberts the Marion schools; Misses Ralston, Potter, Watson, Wright, Shields, Bates and Needham the Indianapolis and B. F. Coen the Hyde Park high school. The athletic side of the high school is coming along at a merry clip. Just across the street the traok athletes were out working up form in hurdling and sprinting; the tennis players were patting the finishing touches on the new coart. Ac the rear of the building the girls were engaged in a lively game of baskef : ball. They are taking great interest and making rapid progress in the game. In the west side of the yard the foot ball squad, after signal practice, lined up against the second team and gave abundant evidence of that snap and vim which will win them the game at Monticello. Practice will be continued Wednesday evening at the school house and Thursday afternoon at the Athletic Park where the boys will line up against a town team as a finishing touch. Saturday the boys meet Monticello and we hope for a goodly crowd of “rooters” to oheer them on to victory.
