Miss Martha Hersher, who has been visiting Miss Arlie Stevens for the past two weeks returned to her home at Hersher, 111., Saturday. Cyril Steel, of Laura, called on friends here Saturday. Quite-jariTumber from here attended the party at Geo. Johnson’s Saturday night. Francis Hullihan and Jesse Green, of Aydelotte, visited friends here over Sunday. A. B. Dunfee and John Richmond attended the street fair at Francesville Thursday. Mrs. Kellenberger and two sons returned from Delphi Sunday morning, where they had been visiting friends for a week. Barny Newland went to Kersey Thursday to work on the railroad. Misses Arlie Stevens and Martha Hersher visited friends at Gifford Friday. John Reed, of Gifford, is very sick at this writing with appendicitis. Bid Wineland had the misfortune to get hit in the eye with a piece of iron Thursday. He was taken to Rensselaer to have it dressed. The doctor said he didn’t kjjow if he could save the eye or not. He was taken to Kankakee Friday to a specialist. He will stay there until he recovers, which we hope will not be very long.
