I PARR PRATTLE. ~j~ Parr is still on the move, although it moves very slow at times. D. S. Alter and family left Sunday evening for Forest, to visit relatives. Mrs. J. L. Babcock who has been confined to her bed with rheumatism for several weeks is able to be about on crutches. Several people of this place took in the excursion to Indianapolis Sunday. The Parr and Fair Oaks ball game Saturday must have been a failure, there being not many of the Fair Oaks team here. Try it again boys. Mrs. \\. L. Wood, who has been sick for the past three or four weeks, is better at this writing. Mrs. D. E. Hudson left Monday for Hammond where she has been taking treatment Irom Dr. Mary Jackson. • From what we hear the young people enjoyed themselves well at the party at Mr. Chupp’s Saturday night. Rev. Byrd, of Aix, preached a fine sermon aunday evening. Miss Watson, of Rensselaer, who has been visiting Dr Kirk’s for a few days, returned home Monday evening. It seems as though Alva Stephenson and Stephen Brusnahan can’t stay from the hay marsh. As it’s too wet to make hay they are going to fish awhile. A young lad of this place was out riding on his wheel Sunday evening, when he saw a number of young ladies standing on the street an 1 of course, as he says, he wanted to feel proud Just as he got up to where the ladies were he fell off the wheel.
