Selection of Queen Plenipotence.
At a meeting of the various- com mittees in charge of the carnival move ment it was decided to select a queen. The selection will be made in the following manner:— 1. Nominations. Any one desiring to place in nomination aDy 'person to be voted for may do so by sending to the committee in charge of the same the name of the person so desired, together with SI.OO which sum Hhall also be counted as ten (10) votes in favor of the party so nominated. Nominations may be made up to August 11,1902. 2. Election. The votes will be counted August 14th, 1902. The person receiving the greatest number of votes will be declared the Queen Elect, and accorded the privileges and prerogatives thereto. 3. Directions. Persons desiring to take part in this election may procure their tickets at the following named places to-wit: Business rooms of A. F. Long, B. F. Fendig, J. A. Larsb, Geo. E. Murray, Isaac Tnteur, Louis Wildburg, Clyde Comer, H. F. Parker. The tickets are ten (10) cents each. Those to be voted are to be sent to the committee in charge of the counting of the votes. Headquarters at the store of George E. Murray. Address, Qneen of The Carnival Committee. The following nominations have up to this time been made: Miss Doris Porter, Miss Frances Eiglesbach, Miss Merrill Beam, Miss Helen Tuteur.
