Shot Himself.

Thayer News Review. The same old story repeated. The gun that is not loaded is always the most dangerous. Edward Cox, son of Israel Cox, a farmer who resides four and one half miles southwest of Rose Lawn, came to celebrate the 4th at Thayer and brought along his gun and a box, as he supposed, of blank cartridges, and loaded the gun and proceeeed to fire as he walked through the grounds. He was seen to stop suddenly after the report 01 one of the cartridges and discovered to nis surprise that a bullet had entered his foot below the ank e. He was assisted to the office of Dr. Wilson, who probed for the ball, and after getting it dressed, he gave the yound man some good advice.
