NO VERDICT REACHED.

The Jury In the Nowels vs. Rensselaer Damage Case Failed to Agree. The Nowels vs. City of Rensselaer damage case was tried at Delphi last week, and came to an end Monday evening, the jury failing to agree. It is understood that ten were in favor of a verdict for the city, the other two being in favor of the plaintiffs. This will necessitate a retrial of the case unless dropped by the plaintiffs. Mr. Nowells and wife sued the city tor |15,000 tor injuries received in a runaway, their horse taking fright at a cow belonging to Charlie Robinson, which the latter had tied at the side of the College road.
