A Soldier’s Narrow Escape.

Watts Flats, N. Y„ May sth.—George Manhart of this place, a hale and hearty old soldier of 80 years of age, tells a thrilling story of a narrow escape from death. ‘ Four years ago.” he says, “the doctors who were attending* me during a serious illness called my wife aside and told her that I could not live two weeks as I had Bright’s Disease,which meant certain death.
